Life is hard enough as a young black woman but being HIV positive is an added complexity when Justice starts to navigate through college during her freshman year. Justice’s dramatic best friend Mia vows to help her steer through it all until she finds herself being unable to determine her boyfriend’s true motives in the bedroom. To make matters more complicated Justice meets Ashton who brings up unanswered questions from her parent’s past. Justice will soon have to decide if he is more than HIV……

“You Betta Ask Somebody” explores the personal relationships between men and women that put them at risk for contracting HIV. Ex-con Donovan, has been released from a two-year stint in prison and he is back with his girlfriend Kendra. To their dismay, Donovan risky’s behavior in prison comes back to haunt them both when he is informed that is old cellmate is HIV positive. Meanwhile, Kendra has been having an affair with a married man, Dan. Dan is expecting his first child with his wife Sheila

Second Place Women Who Come In First is a unique combination of communication, laughter, and struggle sharing the inside viewpoint of a 3-way relationship in the perspectives of The Other Women, The Husband, & The Wife. They are married. She is single. She has his attention… but why?? The stage production deals with what happens when the relationship you have starts to fall apart. Do you communicate with your partner about the issues or do you turn to someone else?



“With This Ring” addresses the issue of domestic violence as experienced through the lives of victims of abuse. As children, Lisa and her brother Derrick witness the vicious abuse and murder of their mother at the hands of their father. Scarred by domestic violence at such a formative time in their lives, both Lisa and Derrick continue the cycle of abuse in their own relationships. In “WTR” Lisa and Derrick both reach a tipping point when they have to decide if they will seek healing or continue the cycle of violence that stole their childhood innocence.
